What You Will Do

The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth for both brands, maintaining and expanding AbiMar’s market leadership while scaling Kibo into a dominant force in the plant-based snack space. This role requires a deep understanding of the CPG landscape, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to execute sales strategies across various channels. You will lead the sales teams for both companies, oversee key account relationships, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market execution.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Expansion: Refine and execute AbiMar’s sales strategy, focusing on growing market share and strengthening relationships with existing retail, private label, and wholesale partners.
Account Management: Oversee and manage AbiMar’s key national and regional accounts, ensuring strong relationships and continued growth. Identify new opportunities for distribution within established and emerging channels.
Sales Team Leadership: Manage and coach the established AbiMar sales team (of 2 direct reports + 1 Kibo direct report) , setting clear goals, tracking performance, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Revenue Growth: Identify growth opportunities for AbiMar’s existing product lines, manage sales forecasts, and drive top-line revenue growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, production, and R&D to ensure alignment on product innovations, marketing strategies, and customer requirements.
Startup Sales Leadership: Develop and lead the go-to-market strategy for Kibo, focusing on expanding distribution into retail, e-commerce, and natural channels.
New Account Development: Identify and secure new retail and distribution partnerships for Kibo’s plant-based snacks, leveraging your industry network to drive rapid growth.
Product Launches: Lead the successful introduction of Kibo’s new products, ensuring widespread distribution and consumer adoption across key markets.
Brand Building: Collaborate with marketing to enhance Kibo’s brand presence and execute trade and promotional strategies to accelerate market penetration.
Channel Development: Explore new sales channels and opportunities for growth, including health-focused retail stores, online platforms, and regional specialty outlets.
Customer-Centric Focus: Foster strong relationships with retailers and distributors, ensuring exceptional customer service and long-term loyalty.
Sales Operations & Performance: Oversee the sales operations for both AbiMar and Kibo, tracking key performance metrics, providing detailed reports, and adjusting strategies based on performance data and market trends.
Financial Accountability: Drive profitable growth for both brands by managing sales budgets, ensuring optimal trade spend, and consistently monitoring performance against revenue targets.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor sales teams across both AbiMar and Kibo, providing clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and retention.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and consumer insights to inform sales strategies, optimize pricing, and refine promotional activities for both businesses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product development, and finance teams to align on overall company goals and ensure seamless execution of sales strategies across both brands.

Who You Are

You are a visionary and strategic Head of Sales who is able to lead sales for two companies. This unique, dual role requires a balance of strategic leadership for AbiMar's established business, and hands-on, entrepreneurial drive to scale Kibo's brand in the competitive plant-based snack industry.

● 120 hours of vacation time per calendar year (15 days)
