What You Will Do

Responsible for developing execution plans to achieve construction project milestones and to minimize costs for a single project or area. Oversees project execution and monitors critical path schedules and deliveries. Provide input to design of construction project execution plans. Responsible for the management and administration of contracts, as well as the process by which they are created and agreed.

Responsibilities:

Supervise projects to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Coordinate equipment, manpower, and materials with PMs for project efficiency.
Communicate effectively with teams and clients on scheduling and progress updates.
Oversee subcontractor scheduling, on-site coordination, and ensure all required documentation is current and compliant.
Collaborate with Designers/Lighting PM to evaluate sites, define project scope, solicit vendor and subcontractor quotes, estimate labor costs, and prepare change orders.
Provide training for crewmembers on irrigation, planting practices, and the latest industry standards to ensure alignment with company practices.
Manage construction schedules and labor forces to ensure projects remain efficient, on time, and within budget, while resolving building code issues and coordinating permits.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and site orientation to optimize project efficiency, including supervising crews and maintaining team motivation.
Communicate daily with Designers, Foremen, and clients to address issues, coordinate activities, monitor satisfaction, and oversee final walkthroughs.
Oversee job set-up and scheduling, collaborating with Landscape Designers on details, managing document control, and ensuring labor cost analysis stays within budget through weekly monitoring and adjustments.
Complete punch list with Project Management, conduct post-completion job cost analysis with Team Manager, and review and adjust project cost performance against the budget.
Obtaining City Permits on all jobs that require a permit and permit close out, coordinating with the City for Inspection.
Serve as a member of the Safety Committee, ensuring job sites adhere to local, federal, and company safety policies, conduct safety meetings, and maintain proper training records and sign-offs.
DIR reporting is kept current, reviewing all books on a biweekly basis.
Be available 24/7 during the winter months for snow removal at industrial and residential properties, while maintaining accurate snow removal logs. Assist in shop duties to ensure small equipment is operational for the upcoming season.

Who You Are

You are an experienced project manager with a strong foundation in landscape and construction management, bringing hands-on expertise in leading complex projects. You possess a solid understanding of landscape and irrigation construction, are adept at interpreting architectural drawings, and have a working knowledge of estimating, contracts, and construction practices and sequencing. Technologically savvy, you embrace business management tools such as Aspire, but are comfortable working in spreadsheets as well. Possessing advanced analytical and organizational skills, you are able to successfully manage multiple projects and teams effectively under tight deadlines. Known for your excellent communication and people skills, you can build relationships at all levels and ensure smooth collaboration across diverse contributors and clients.
