What You Will Do

The Procurement & Co-Manufacturing (Coman) Manager implements the procurement strategy for co-manufacturing & ingredients/materials through sourcing and selecting suppliers and negotiating agreements (i.e. contract terms, pricing, SLA, etc.). This role will build and maintain strong working relationships with all external business partners (i.e. 3PL providers, coman partners, suppliers & vendors). The Procurement & Coman Manager follows up on all procurement activities related to ingredients/materials and will manage all procurement aspects of the new product development process for innovation projects. Further, this role is responsible for sourcing compliance initiatives and adherence to our certification requirements while focusing on the identification and implementation of cost-improvement projects. The Procurement & Coman Manager will liaise between internal and external partners to ensure we support medium- to longer-term growth needs in terms of capacity and capability.

Who You Are

● 5-8 years of Supply Chain & Procurement experience in CPG related fields. Coman Management experience preferred.

● Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contacts (co-packers, suppliers).

● Must have experience in conducting comprehensive supplier analysis and screening, analyzing supplier proposals, and using decision-making tools/models (including financial and non-financial criteria) to lead negotiations.

● Leadership skills and presence that include the ability to drive innovative business improvements, balance short- and long-term priorities, deliver results, import and export good ideas, develop and inspire others, and lead with integrity.

● Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking with a willingness to perform tactical execution.

● Proven ability to develop strategic plans and manage implementation and execution, along with an ability to analyze data and identify root causes.

● Must have a collaborative style and an ability to persuade, motivate in all directions within the organization – to sell up, to motivate down and to cross sell to peers is essential to success.

● Intrinsic motivation to seek opportunities for COGS savings and project optimization for the business financial health. Strong analytical skills with advanced MS Excel skills are a must.

● Experience with QuickBooks systems or any other ERP system strongly preferred.

Benefits

Total Compensation: $95,000-$125,000 (base salary & bonus)

Location: Hybrid role based in Boulder, CO; remote work options available for candidates outside the Boulder/Denver metro area in MT and CT time zones.
